Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Oncology and Haematology

Nuffield Health Warwickshire Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Staff Nurse to join our team in the Milverton Suite, a Haematology & Oncology Day Unit. As a Senior Staff Nurse - Specialist SACT Oncology and Haematology, you will be responsible for administering systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments to patients with various types of cancer.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead by example and be an ambassador for Nuffield Health
  • Use clinical skills and an empathetic approach to meet each individual patient's needs
  • Enjoy autonomy to make decisions that ensure excellent patient care
  • Deliver high-quality holistic care to our patients
  • Administer systemic anti-cancer therapy and supportive treatments
  • Assist with Holistic Needs Assessments
  • Complete UKONS triage and assessments
  • Provide care for acute oncological and haematological emergencies
  • Interact with practitioners from other departments
  • Educate patients in the management of their care
  • Assist with outpatient consultant clinics

Requirements:

  • NMC registered and be a qualified nurse
  • Have a UKONS SACT passport (or equivalent)
  • Minimum of 6 months SACT administration experience
  • Proficient in phlebotomy, cannulation, and accessing Central Venous Access Devices
  • Competent in UKONS triage
