About Us:

Everton Football Club is committed to creating a positive impact in our local communities. We are seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to join our team and help us achieve this goal.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing programs that engage young people in positive activities and provide them with the support they need to succeed.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with young people who display challenging behavior and have or are at risk of being criminally exploited. They will also possess relevant qualifications in youth work or community development, as well as mentoring and coaching skills.

The role requires a flexible approach to working unsociable hours, including evenings and weekends. The successful candidate will be based across our Everton in the Community campus and will report directly to the Senior Co-ordinator.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a caseload of young people and develop support plans tailored to meet each individual's needs
  • Deliver targeted workshops and activities that support physical, social, emotional, and educational development
  • Collaborate with families and other stakeholders to assess needs and provide necessary support

Safeguarding:

  • Understand and adhere to the club's safeguarding policy and procedures
  • Ensure safe working practices and contribute positively to an anti-bullying environment

Requirements:

  • VQR/NVQ Level 2 in Youth Work or equivalent qualification/experience
  • Relevant mentoring qualifications
  • Experience of delivering in schools and educational establishments
  • A good understanding of confidentiality and maintaining boundaries when working with young people

Estimated Salary: £25,000 - £30,000 per annum
