About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated allied health professional to lead our paediatric persistent pain service. As a clinical lead, you will be responsible for developing and delivering a value-based model of care that supports children and young people with persistent pain and their families across Wales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team developing and delivering a persistent pain service that supports children and young people across Wales.
  • Lead a dynamic multi-professional team that includes physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and clinical nurse specialists, providing education and support across Wales.
  • Work closely with the lead clinical psychologist and consultant to develop and implement a clinical model based on the Cardiff and Vale Rehabilitation Model.
  • Develop and implement clinical pathways for the treatment of persistent pain in children and young people.
  • Collaborate with peers across Wales to enhance the offer and develop new services.
Requirements
  • Degree or equivalent in a therapy profession.
  • HCPC registration.
  • Relevant CPD.
  • MSc or relevant higher-level qualification.
  • Significant post-reg experience at a senior level in a therapy profession.
  • Providing clinical supervision.
  • Leading a clinical team.
  • Participation in planning and developing services.
  • Presentation to a wide range of audiences.

  • Published work.
  • Research methodology.
  • IMT.
  • Analysis of statistical information.
