Clinical Lead for Paediatric Persistent Pain Service

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced allied health professional to lead our paediatric persistent pain service. The successful applicant will work closely with the lead clinical psychologist and consultant to develop and deliver a persistent pain service that supports children and young people across Wales.
Main Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership to the multidisciplinary team developing and delivering a persistent pain service.
- Develop and implement clinical pathways for the management of persistent pain in children and young people.
- Work closely with the lead clinical psychologist and consultant to develop and deliver a persistent pain service that meets the needs of children and young people across Wales.
- Line manage and develop team members in close collaboration with professional service leads.
- Train and educate colleagues beyond the persistent pain service in developing the way we deliver our services.
- Degree / equivalent in therapy profession.
- HCPC registration.
- Significant post reg experience at a senior level in a therapy profession.
- Providing clinical supervision.
- Leading a clinical team.
- Participation in planning / developing services.
- Presenting to a wide range of audiences.
- Involvement in change management.
- Published work.
- Advanced level of relevant clinical skills.
- Coaching and training.
- Communication with HCPs and public.
- Motivation of others.
- Organisational skills.
- Audit and research.
- IMT.
- Analysis of statistical information.
- Specialist therapy knowledge in paediatric conditions and managing persistent pain.
- Professional confidence.

- Able to meet the travel requirements of the role.
