About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Fellow to join our Paediatric Surgery team at Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. As a Clinical Fellow, you will play a key role in providing high-quality care to our patients and contributing to the development of our surgical services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide care to surgical paediatric patients, working closely with the paediatric surgery team and rotating around various clinical areas, including Gwdihw Surgery Ward, HDU, and the neonatal unit.
  • Develop and maintain your clinical skills and knowledge, with opportunities for professional development and growth.
  • Contribute to the development of our surgical services, including participating in quality improvement initiatives and contributing to the design and implementation of new clinical pathways.

Person Specification

Essential

  • FRCS or MRCS qualification
  • 3 years full-time experience in Paediatric Surgery hospital service in SHO or higher grade

Desirable

  • Intercalated Degree
  • PICU or medical neonatology experience
