About the Role:

We are looking for a highly organized and proactive Site Operations Coordinator to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day maintenance of our school's two sites and small facilities team.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance Planning: Develop and implement maintenance plans to ensure the School premises are clean, tidy, secure, safe, and well-maintained at all times.
  • Inventory Control: Coordinate the ordering and stock rotation/replenishment across both sites.
  • Cleaning Operations: Clean and operate associated cleaning equipment, including minibuses.
  • Building Services Management: Supervise monitoring of building services, including alarm systems, gas, electricity, water, sewerage, heating, and ventilation.
  • Emergency Response: Carry out emergency repairs, including those requiring external contractors.
Supervision of Contractors:
  1. Contractor Supervision: Supervise and coordinate the work of all contractors, ensuring compliance with legislation and school procedures.
  2. Liaison with Contractors: Liaise with contractors regarding specialist cleaning and maintenance requirements.
Health and Safety:
  1. Risk Assessment: Ensure systems are in place so that all practices and emergency procedures are safe and adhere to H&S requirements.
  2. Health and Safety Officer: Act as the School Health and Safety Officer.
  3. Fire Safety Coordination: Act as the School Fire Safety Coordinator with overall responsibility for fire safety issues in the school.
  4. Annual Risk Assessment: Undertake annual premises risk assessments.
Security:
  1. Key Holding: Act as a key holder for the school, daily locking/unlocking buildings.
  2. General Security Arrangements: Oversight of general security and arrangements for locking/unlocking all premises.
Additional Responsibilities:
  1. Record Keeping: Monitor and ensure recording of regular checks on fire alarms, extinguishers, burglar alarms, residual current devices, and visual checks of electrical fittings.
  2. Vehicle Maintenance: Conduct weekly checks and maintenance of school minibuses.
  3. Assistance with Equipment: Assist with sound system, hall microphones, sound mixer desk, and stage lighting when needed.
  4. Financial Responsibility: Be responsible for appropriate use of the Site Manager's Credit Card and monthly requisitions with the school business manager.
