Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Logistics and Customs Compliance Manager to oversee and manage all shipping activities, imports, and exports for our company, World Aero. This role is crucial for optimizing logistics processes, reducing costs, and ensuring timely availability of materials to support maintenance and operational needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and oversee the transportation of goods, including international and domestic shipments.
  • Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and operations to ensure timely delivery of required items.
  • Ensure all goods are imported and exported correctly in accordance with HMRC regulations.
  • Check import and export declarations and control of records. Prepare and lead HMRC audits.
  • Develop and implement logistics strategies to support the efficient movement of materials and parts.
  • Participate in regular customs compliance training to ensure the company is compliant at all times.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with couriers.
  • Communicate effectively with customers regarding logistics activities and timelines.

About You:

  • Excellent Communicator: Fluent in oral and written English, with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Organized and Detail-Oriented: Highly organized with a keen attention to detail, capable of managing multiple tasks and prioritizing workload.
  • Calm Nature: Ability to work under pressure.
  • Problem Solver: Proactive in identifying issues and finding effective solutions.
  • Qualifications: Grade 4 or above in English and Maths or equivalent. Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Logistics Experience – minimum of 1 year working within a logistics/shipping environment.
  • Hands on – Happy to jump in when needed.
