About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced pharmacist to take on a leadership role in our clinical pharmacy service. As a Lead Specialist Pharmacist, you will be responsible for leading and developing clinical pharmacy audit and practice research within critical care, anaesthetics, and theatre fields.

The successful candidate will have a strong background in clinical pharmacy practice, with experience in critical care and leadership roles. They will be responsible for supervising and mentoring junior pharmacists, developing and implementing clinical pharmacy services, and working closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes.

The estimated salary for this role is £65,000 - £85,000 per annum, depending on experience. This is a full-time position, and the successful candidate will be based at our Bedford hospital site.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop clinical pharmacy audit and practice research within critical care, anaesthetics, and theatre fields
  • Supervise and mentor junior pharmacists and other healthcare professionals
  • Work closely with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes
  • Contribute to the development of pharmacy policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Bachelor/Master of Pharmacy degree or equivalent
  • GPhC Pharmacist Registration
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Pharmacy or equivalent (or close to completion)
  • Independent prescribing qualification (or planning to start)
  • Relevant senior experience
