About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at The Hospice of St Francis, providing exceptional palliative care to patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, individualized care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, working collaboratively with the multidisciplinary team.
  • Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring a holistic approach that addresses physical, psychological, and spiritual needs.
  • Participate in the induction of new staff and volunteers, promoting a supportive learning environment.
  • Contribute to the development of guidelines and standards within the Inpatient Unit, ensuring best practices are maintained.
  • Collaborate with Health Care Assistants to provide comprehensive care, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records, adhering to statutory regulations and Hospice policies.

Requirements

  • Registered Nurse with a passion for palliative care and a commitment to ongoing professional development.
  • Experience in palliative care, with evidence of excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively, prioritizing patient needs and safety, and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Strong IT skills, with proficiency in email, word documents, computerized patient records, and report writing.
  • Emotionally resilient, with a willingness to learn and adapt to changing situations.
