Job Title: Associate / Associate Director Civil Engineering

Our client is seeking an experienced Associate or Associate Director to join their dynamic Civil Engineering Team in Hook. As a key member of the team, you will play a leading role in shaping the future of the company's infrastructure projects.

About the Role:
  • You will be responsible for undertaking strategic development planning and detailed design work, specializing in providing highways, drainage, and development infrastructure advice to private sector clients and supporting key local authority clients.
  • As a technical expert, you will provide input into the planning process, lead and coordinate detailed design, and implement projects during the construction phase.
  • You will be active on multiple projects and client accounts, requiring strong time management skills and the ability to delegate tasks to junior staff.
  • Strong knowledge of financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering projects is essential, as well as a proven record in client care and business development.
  • You will have relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering and Chartered status, with at least 8 years of relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of legal processes, planning, design software, technical consents, and contract procedures for drainage schemes is required, as well as the ability to effectively deliver projects to achieve client briefs.
  • You will be experienced in technical report writing and have knowledge of relevant design codes and guidance.
  • The opportunity at the Hook office is to develop the existing highways and infrastructure section with the support of the Directors.
Requirements:
  • Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering and Chartered status
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering projects
  • Proven record in client care and business development
  • Knowledge of legal processes, planning, design software, technical consents, and contract procedures for drainage schemes
  • Experience in technical report writing and knowledge of relevant design codes and guidance
