About the Role

Sarto Thomas Ltd is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Associate Director of Civil Engineering to join our team in Hook. As a key member of our Civil Engineering Team, you will play a leading role in shaping the future of our company.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate detailed design and implementation of projects during the construction phase.
  • Provide technical input into the planning process and support the wider team's financial and commercial management through robust project delivery.
  • Manage project resources and delegate tasks accordingly, with input to mentoring junior staff.
  • Support the development of the existing highways and infrastructure section with the support of the Directors.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, including private sector clients and local authorities.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices, and apply this knowledge to improve our services and deliver high-quality results.
Requirements
  • Relevant qualifications (Bachelor or Masters) in Civil Engineering.
  • Chartered status with at least 8 years relevant experience.
  • Strong knowledge of the financial and contractual aspects of planning, bidding, and delivering both large and small projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to direct and check the use of relevant software, such as MicroDrainage and AutoCAD.
