The Role

We are seeking a skilled and caring Personal Care Assistant to join our client's support team. This full-time role is contracted to 35 hours per week and involves providing reliable essential care and support in the client's home. You will be employed by Home Care Direct on behalf of the client and your focus will be to support them only.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the client with daily living activities, including personal care and light domestic duties.
  • Maintain an aseptic environment and ensure the client's health and safety needs are met.
  • Work independently without direct supervision and demonstrate self-motivation and a responsible attitude.
Requirements
  • Previous experience in complex care is essential.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Commitment to long-term person-centred care and respect for confidentiality.
Training and Support

We provide comprehensive paid training to CQC standards, covering topics such as safeguarding adults, health and safety, and complex care techniques. All training must be completed before the start date, with training hours paid at £14.00 per hour.

Benefits

This role offers a range of benefits, including enhanced bank holiday pay, company pension scheme, and ongoing support from a dedicated Regional Care Lead and Nurse. You will also have access to career development opportunities and personal development plans.

Salary and Location

The salary for this role is approximately £28,300 per annum, based on a 35-hour working week. The role is located in Folkestone, Kent, with shifts allocated on a 4-on/4-off basis. The hours of work will be 21:00pm to 07:00am.
