Job Title: Head of Commercial

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our commercial solar strategy and product lifecycle. As Head of Commercial, you will be responsible for devising, developing, and leading our Smart Solar strategy and product lifecycle, delivering new products and services in a fast-paced market, and securing our position as a key player in the drive to decarbonize through clean energy solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement a comprehensive commercial solar strategy, aligned with our company's vision and goals.
  • Lead the development and launch of new products and services, working closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Sales, Customer Service, Procurement, Legal, Digital, and Systems.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including Director-level stakeholders, to drive business growth and success.
  • Conduct thorough market research and analysis to identify opportunities and threats, and develop strategies to mitigate risks and capitalize on opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the Smart Solutions Delivery department to assess existing delivery partner performance, consider alternative supply chain solutions, and ensure seamless product lifecycle management.
  • Lead the drive for personal development and career growth across the Smart Solar Team, providing coaching, mentoring, leadership, and delivery of formal training.
  • Engage with stakeholders across the Iberdrola Group to leverage the Iberdrola brand and spend to gain competitive advantage.
Requirements:
  • Degree-educated or equivalent, with managerial experience in a business-to-business environment.
  • Proven ability to assess marketplace opportunity, identify a clear strategic course of action, and turn plans into deliverables.
  • Strong technical knowledge of solar and wider energy efficiency products and services, with a deep understanding of systems, processes, and governance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with Director-level stakeholders.
  • Proven track record of making sound recommendations and concluding with strong implementation plans.
