We are seeking a highly skilled Child Protection Specialist to join our Duty and Assessment Team in the Halton area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify and mitigate risks to children.
  • Manage a complex caseload of families in need of support, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Collaborate with multi-agency professionals to safeguard children and promote family well-being.
  • Develop and implement high-quality assessments and reports for management and court purposes.
  • Respond promptly to referrals, assessing risk and need to ensure swift and effective interventions.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Social Worker (Degree/Diploma in Social Work).
  • Registration with Social Work England.
  • Proven experience in a Duty and Assessment team or similar front-line social work.
  • Strong understanding of child protection, safeguarding, and social work legislation.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills.
  • Ability to manage a complex caseload effectively while maintaining high-quality practice standards.
  • Car for work purposes.
