Independent Reviewing Manager Opportunity

Sanctuary Personnel Ltd is seeking an experienced Independent Reviewing Manager to join our team based in Halton. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team of Independent Reviewing Officers (IROs) to ensure high-quality reviews of care plans and services provided to children and young people.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the review process for children in care to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.
  • Lead and manage a team of IROs, ensuring they provide thorough, child-centered reviews and recommendations.
  • Ensure that all care plans are regularly reviewed, addressing the changing needs of children and young people.
  • Provide strategic input to improve services for children and young people in care.
  • Liaise with social workers, foster carers, and other professionals to ensure robust planning and care for every child.
  • Monitor and report on the performance of the IRO team, ensuring continuous improvement.
  • Handle any escalations, complaints, or concerns relating to the care of children in the system.
  • Keep up to date with relevant legislation, policies, and best practices in safeguarding and children's services.
Requirements:
  • Degree in Social Work or a related field (e.g., youth work, social care).
  • Postgraduate qualifications in management or social care may be beneficial but not always essential.
  • Significant experience in social work, specifically working with children in care, care leavers, or vulnerable young people.
  • Management or supervisory experience within a social care or child protection setting.
