Job Overview:

Luxfer MEL Technologies is committed to providing exceptional customer service and maintaining a safe and healthy work environment. We are seeking a highly skilled Facilities Maintenance Engineer to join our team in Manchester.

Responsibilities:
  • Ensure the smooth operation of building systems, including HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and safety systems.
  • Conduct regular facility inspections to identify issues and recommend corrective actions.
  • Assist with renovations, upgrades, and other projects to ensure timely completion and adherence to budget.
  • Implement strategies to improve energy efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage relationships with external contractors to ensure high-quality work and compliance with contracts.
  • Maintain records of maintenance, inspections, and audits.
  • Ensure the facility meets all relevant safety and environmental regulations.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans to ensure facility safety and minimize disruption during emergencies.
Requirements:
  • 5 GCSEs at grade C/4 or above, including Science, Mathematics, and English.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience working in an engineering environment.
  • Proficient in using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
What We Offer:
  • Up to £36,000 per annum (commensurate with experience).
