Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Database Administrator Team Lead to lead our database team in ensuring the optimal performance, security, and reliability of our data systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of database systems across NCA sites.
  • Manage the deployment of database servers, storage systems, and associated infrastructure components, ensuring alignment with NHS standards and industry best practices.
  • Provide leadership and direction to a team of database administrators, mentoring team members, fostering a culture of excellence, and promoting professional development to enhance the capabilities and effectiveness of the team.
  • Manage resources, budgets, and performance metrics to ensure the efficient and effective operation of database services.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support application development, data warehousing, and business intelligence initiatives.
  • Drive innovation by evaluating and integrating new database technologies that enhance scalability and performance.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and lead database upgrades and migrations.
