Role Overview

As a Technical Product Owner at Barclays, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the bank's digital landscape. This position requires a deep understanding of software development lifecycle, cloud technologies, APIs, and databases.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee the strategic direction and development of technical product capabilities.
  • Collaborate with product owners and technical teams to drive product development.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to support the collaboration between product owners and technical teams.
  • Develop and implement assessments to ensure continuous testing and improvement of product quality and performance.
  • Monitor product performance to identify opportunities for optimisation.
  • Stay abreast of the latest industry technology trends and technologies.
  • Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, in support of the control and governance agenda.
Requirements
  • Deep understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC), cloud technologies, APIs, and databases.
  • Proven experience working in Agile environments, including hands-on experience with Scrum or Kanban methodologies.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities to solve complex technical issues and make data-driven decisions.
  • Experience with tools like SQL, Google Analytics, or data visualisation platforms.
  • Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, automation, and how DevOps processes impact product development.
  • Experience with cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
