Purpose of the role
To design, build, and maintain robust infrastructure platforms and products that support applications and data systems, leveraging hardware, software, networks, and cloud computing platforms to ensure reliability, scalability, and security. Ensure the reliability, availability, and scalability of systems, platforms, and technology through the application of software engineering techniques, automation, and best practices in incident response.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet business requirements, ensuring measurable reliability, performance, availability, and ease of use. Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to identify, address, and resolve potential issues, vulnerabilities, or outages.
- Implement automated tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual intervention, utilizing software scripting/coding disciplines.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and innovations, and contribute to the organization's technology communities to foster a culture of technical excellence and growth.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies/procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Take ownership for managing risk and strengthening controls in relation to the work done.
- Engage in complex analysis of data from multiple sources, including internal and external sources, to drive informed decision-making.
