Job Title: Commissioning Editor - Content Partnerships

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Commissioning Editor to join our Editorial Integrated Partnerships team at Telegraph Media Group. As a Commissioning Editor, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality, effectiveness, and efficiency of our content partnerships, with a focus on either Lifestyle, Travel, or Sport.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Client Engagement: Proactively engage with clients to shape quality ideas and deliver results that matter.
  • Content Oversight: Oversee the quality and direction of all ideas and content for campaigns, from pitch to delivery.
  • Project Management: Manage pages, digital content, and videos, ensuring relevant colleagues are fully briefed and deadlines are met.
  • Copy Editing: Edit copy to first-class standards before it reaches the sub-editing stage.
  • Campaign Planning: Work with Project Management to ensure partnerships are running proactively and efficiently, and that every pitch and campaign is properly planned, costed, and optimized.
  • Talent Management: Manage, source, and negotiate talent to front campaigns, ensuring we're getting the most relevant talent at competitive rates.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously improve processes, client communications, and sales pitches, and stay up-to-date with compliance and legal issues.
  • Team Collaboration: Work closely with sales colleagues to develop proactive sales ideas and polish pitch decks.
  • Freelance Management: Maintain a good contacts book of freelance writers.

Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in content commissioning, editing, and project management, with a strong understanding of the media industry.
  • Skills: Excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong knowledge of the media industry, including commercial and editorial aspects.
