About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled individual to join our team in the role of Head of Financial Crime, Channel Islands and Isle of Man. As a key member of our risk management team, you will be responsible for directing the effective identification, assessment, management, monitoring, and mitigation of financial crime risk across the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Regulatory Compliance: Act in a regulated capacity as the Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) in Jersey for HSBC Bank plc Jersey Branch and HSBC Trustees Channel Islands Limited, and provide oversight of the MLROs in Guernsey and the Isle of Man.
  2. Financial Crime Risk Management: Develop and implement policies and procedures to manage financial crime risk, and provide subject matter expertise to support the identification, assessment, and mitigation of financial crime risks.
  3. Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including regulators, law enforcement agencies, and other key stakeholders.
  4. Leadership and Collaboration: Lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive the implementation of financial crime risk management strategies and initiatives.
Requirements
  • Extensive Experience: Proven experience in financial crime risk management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong Leadership: Demonstrated leadership and management skills, with the ability to lead and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
  • Regulatory Expertise: In-depth knowledge of financial crime regulations, risk management frameworks, and compliance requirements.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
