Assistant Planner

**Job Summary**
Tony Gee and Partners is seeking a highly skilled Assistant Planner to join their Highways department. As an Assistant Planner, you will play a crucial role in providing robust project planning support to the Tony Gee Highways team.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Develop and maintain project schedules using Primavera P6 and Microsoft Office tools.
- Collaborate with colleagues and subcontractors to collect progress and change data.
- Assist the Principal Planner in updating contract schedules and creating progress reports.
- Communicate project delays and changes to stakeholders.
- Conduct quality reviews of internal and external schedules.
- Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies in project controls.
- Take ownership of smaller projects and assist in training new team members.
- Support the Principal Planner in raising the profile of the Planning Function within Tony Gee.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
**Requirements**
- Graduated from an Engineering or Construction discipline.
- Experience working in a project-based engineering design or construction environment.
- Familiarity with project planning and monitoring functions.
- Proficiency in planning software such as Microsoft Project and Primavera P6.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience providing support to team members and managers.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Appreciation of planning best practices.
**Desirable Qualifications**
- Previous experience with Primavera P6 or similar planning solutions.
- Comfortable using technology-based solutions and working independently.
