Job Summary:

Spire Healthcare is seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Housekeeper to join our team on a permanent contract. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the hospital's facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness throughout the hospital, adhering to our housekeeping and infection control policies.
  • Complete cleaning schedules related to your shift, ensuring rooms are ready for immediate occupation and public areas are clean.
  • Collaborate closely with the Senior Housekeeper and report any concerns regarding housekeeping issues promptly.
  • Work in close liaison with clinical staff, understanding the special needs of the hospital on a day-to-day basis.
  • Be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of equipment, checking for faults and supply shortages, and reporting them to your line manager.
  • Comply with all Health and Safety at Work regulations, including COSHH.
  • Work with guidance on moving and handling, as identified in corporate and local policy, and discussed at mandatory training sessions.
  • Maintain quality assurance and patient confidentiality at all times.

Essential Skills:

  • Experience in a customer-facing environment.
  • Previous housekeeping experience.
  • Ability to work unsupervised and on your own initiative, prioritizing tasks.
  • A positive and flexible approach to customer service.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Willingness and ability to complete mandatory training for COSHH, Manual Handling, Infection Control, food hygiene, and Health & Safety in-house.
