Job Overview">

We are seeking an experienced Band 6/7 Health Visitor to join our team in Essex. As a specialist public health nurse, you will play a vital role in improving the health and wellbeing of children and families in our community.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in health visiting, with experience in leading interventions to improve outcomes and safeguard children and families. You will be passionate about driving positive change and using your skills and expertise to make a real difference in people's lives.

Your Responsibilities

  1. ">
  2. Deliver the Healthy Child Programme, assessing health needs, developing and implementing packages of care, and evaluating their effectiveness">
  3. Use the Family Health Needs Assessment tool to plan and evidence care, identifying unmet needs and developing targeted interventions">
  4. Devise and implement individualized care plans for each child, actively involving them, their parents, and carers in the planning and implementation process">
  5. Assess health, growth, and development in the 0-5 age range (0-19 Pathway) and use the Early Help Assessment Tool when necessary">
  6. Develop and maintain high-quality, evidence-based practice standards for Specialist Public Health Nurse/Health Visiting practice">
  7. Provide mentorship and preceptorship to students and new staff members, supporting their professional development and growth">

  • You have experience in leading interventions to improve outcomes and safeguard children and families">

  • You have a valid UK driving licence and access to a car for work purposes">
