Job Overview:

Mind in West Essex is committed to transforming children and young people's mental health provision. As a Supporting Mental Wellbeing in Education Settings practitioner, you will contribute to this vision by working closely with children, young people, and their families in educational settings.

About the Role:

This dynamic opportunity involves working with children, young people, and their families, experiencing mild to moderate mental health issues such as low mood and anxiety. You will be responsible for delivering evidence-based interventions, helping children and young people within these settings who present with more severe problems to rapidly access more specialist services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver outcome-focused, evidence-based interventions in educational settings for children and young people experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties through guided self-help.
  • Support children and young people, their parents/carers, families, and educators in the self-management of presenting difficulties.
  • Work in partnership with children, young people, their families, and educators in the development of plans for specific interventions and agreeing outcomes.
  • Collaborate and co-produce agreed plans of care with children and young people in education, and where appropriate, parents/carers.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience.
