Head of Purchasing Job Description

We are seeking a seasoned procurement professional to lead our purchasing team and drive strategic supply chain initiatives at Sepura Group.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategic Procurement: Develop and execute procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring maximum value for the company and its customers.
  • Vendor Management: Evaluate and select vendors based on quality, reliability, and pricing, while monitoring vendor performance and addressing any issues promptly.
  • Risk Management: Assess and mitigate supply chain risks to ensure business continuity.
  • Leadership and Team Management: Lead a team of procurement professionals, providing guidance and support to ensure successful execution of procurement activities.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data to make informed decisions, establishing and monitoring key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure procurement performance.
  • Technology Adoption: Stay updated on procurement software and tools, implementing digital solutions to drive efficiency gains.
  • Compliance: Ensure all procurement activities adhere to regulatory standards and organizational policies.

Requirements:

  • Extensive supply chain experience within the electronics/telecommunications or consumer goods industries, including management of complex global supplier/customer relationships.
  • Team management experience.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and ideally Microsoft AX knowledge.
  • Experience of offshore contract manufacturing management.

Travel Requirements: Some international travel will be required, and the successful applicant will need to have a full, clean driving license and their own car. Travel expenses will be paid.
