Job Title: Head of Purchasing

This is an exciting opportunity to join a market leader in their field as a highly experienced Head of Purchasing with a background in Engineering, including exposure to electronics components. The successful candidate will be responsible for defining and delivering the global supply chain strategy for the business, delivering maximum value to all stakeholders.

This is a key role where you can make a significant contribution to the business, being a part of driving their success moving forward. With a great culture based in modern facilities within a lovely location just outside of Cambridge, you will be responsible for managing all procurement activities, playing a critical role in optimising costs, ensuring the timely delivery of products and services as well as building strong supplier relationships.

To be successful in this role, you should have a proven track record for reducing costs, experience of offshore contract manufacturing management, and provide clear direction to your team. You should also be able to lead by example, have experience working with global suppliers, and have excellent attention to detail. Additionally, you should be able to remain informed when dealing with large volumes of information and prioritise issues within a complex organisation, have strong influencing/negotiation skills, and be a team player & be able to work with stakeholders across multiple disciplines.

Due to the travel involved with this role, you need to have a full, clean, driving licence & your own car. Travel expenses will be paid.
