Job Title: Manufacturing Process Researcher

About the Role:
We are seeking a talented researcher to join our client's cutting-edge research team based in Cambridge. This opportunity involves developing high-temperature materials and advancing additive manufacturing through experimental and simulation methods.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct experiments to investigate fundamental aspects of additive manufacturing processes.
  • Develop and execute experiments to advance additive manufacturing techniques.
  • Analyse data using statistical methods to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Optimise process parameters for various materials to achieve desired outcomes.

Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • Experience/knowledge of laser powder bed or electron beam technology.
  • Exposure to Python.
  • Strong understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with simulation software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Salary: £60,000 - £80,000 per annum.
