Are you an experienced engineer looking for a challenging role in additive manufacturing? We have an exciting opportunity at Alexander Daniels Global for a Senior Additive Manufacturing Engineer to join our research team in Cambridge.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Process Optimization:
    • Develop and implement optimized additive manufacturing processes for various materials.
    • Analyze and improve the performance of existing processes.
  • Experimental Work:
    • Conduct experiments to investigate the fundamental aspects of additive manufacturing processes.
    • Collect and analyze data using statistical methods to draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Collaboration:
    • Work closely with the research team to develop innovative additive manufacturing processes and techniques.

We require:

  • A bachelor's degree or higher in Additive Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Science and Engineering, Applied Physics, or a related field.
  • Significant experience/knowledge of laser powder bed or electron beam technology.
  • Familiarity with Python programming.
  • A strong understanding of Design of Experiments (DOE) and statistical analysis.
  • Experience with simulation software.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

The estimated salary for this role is £70,000 - £90,000 per annum, depending on experience.
