About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Operative to join our team at Manor Court care home. As a key member of our facilities team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the care home remains functional and our residents have a safe and comfortable environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine maintenance and repair tasks to a high standard, with minimal disruption to residents and visitors.
  • Contribute to the management of the maintenance budget, taking the lead as appropriate.
  • Perform ad-hoc internal decoration of accessible areas, ensuring a high standard of finish.
  • Report unrepairable defects to management, escalating or seeking specialist repair if required.
  • Ensure all health and safety and compliance checks are carried out to deadlines, and all policies and guidelines are adhered to at all times.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will hold a building/electrical/plumbing qualification or have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a property maintenance or general repairs role. A full driving licence is essential, and previous experience in a site management role and managing consultants, contractors, and contracted suppliers would be advantageous.
