Facilities Maintenance Technician

The Facilities Maintenance Technician will be responsible for executing both internal and external maintenance tasks, reporting directly to the Facilities Manager or Operations Supervisor.
Utilizing the tools, materials, and resources provided, the technician will collaborate with team members and external contractors to ensure the delivery of superior service, in alignment with the stipulations of any management agreements, leases, or service level contracts.
Maintenance Responsibilities:
The technician will assist in the ongoing management of maintenance routines for the property, with the goal of ensuring that maintenance, upkeep, and risk management activities are performed efficiently and promptly.
- Daily waste management, including the movement of general and recycling bins between storage areas and collection points.
- External property maintenance, such as litter collection, pressure washing, and thorough cleaning.
- Conducting maintenance tasks both inside and outside of the buildings.
- Performing regular preventative maintenance duties (training will be provided).
Risk Management Duties:
The technician will support the risk management protocols of the property, employing established systems and processes to ensure compliance.
Engaging with the onsite management team, client support personnel, contractors, and residents to facilitate risk assessments and routine risk management activities.
Responsibilities will include completing risk-related actions, conducting equipment tests (both inside and outside of the units as applicable), and documenting the results. This may encompass fire alarm testing, flushing of taps and showers, smoke ventilation assessments, water quality testing, inspections of mechanical rooms, and sprinkler system evaluations.
