Clinical Lead in Acute Oncology and Non-Medical Prescribing

Kings College Hospital, one of the UK's largest and busiest teaching Trusts, is seeking an experienced Clinical Lead to join our Acute Oncology Service.

As a highly skilled and autonomous advanced practitioner, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality patient-centred care, working autonomously within the service to provide clinical assessment, diagnosis, and management plans. Your expertise will also contribute to the development and updating of referral guidelines and policies for the service.

You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, participating in clinics, ward rounds, and team meetings to ensure effective coordination of care and delivery of high-quality AOS specialist care. Additionally, you will provide telephone triage advice for patients and health professionals with complications of their systemic anti-cancer treatment.

The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years post-registration experience at a senior level (Band 7 or above) in cancer or acute care, with experience in service development and implementation of change. You will have strong communication skills, the ability to lead and motivate others, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

This is a full-time position, and we estimate the salary to be around £60,000 - £80,000 per annum, depending on experience. The successful candidate will be expected to work flexibly and contribute to the development of the service.
