About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our hospice community services team. As a key member of our clinical team, you will be responsible for providing expert advice related to specific conditions or treatment pathways, conducting research, and implementing new changes to enhance patient health outcomes.
Key Responsibilities- Clinical Expertise: Assess patient needs, provide expert advice on specific conditions, and conduct research to improve care and services.
- Leadership and Collaboration: Work effectively as part of a multi-disciplinary team, providing education and supportive counselling to patients and families.
- Service Development: Implement changes to improve care and services, and contribute to the development of new initiatives to enhance patient health outcomes.
To succeed in this role, you will require:
- Proven Experience: A minimum of 2 years' experience as a Clinical Nurse Specialist in a palliative care setting.
- Strong Skills: Excellent communication and patient-focussed approach, strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Qualifications: Current registration with the Nursing Midwifery Council (NMC) and a valid Disclosure and Barring Service check.
