Care Support Specialist

We are seeking a dedicated Care Support Specialist to join our team in Whitehaven, England. This is a full-time role working on a zero hour contract, with a salary range of £14.00 - £14.50 per hour.
About the RoleThe successful candidate will be supporting a young gentleman in his own home, working on a 2-1 basis with another member of staff. The support will be given both out in the community and in his home environment, carrying out various tasks such as going for walks and days out, meals preparation, social enrichment, supporting with development of life skills, managing behaviors and emotions, promoting independence, and managing sensory needs.
Requirements- A full UK driving license and access to your own vehicle
- Previous experience within a professional care setting, preferably community based
- Previous work experience and knowledge of autism, sensory impairments, challenging behavior, and mental health
- Strong communication skills and ability to use alternative methods of communication
- Able to work as part of a team
- Knowledge of professional boundaries and safeguarding policies
