About the Role

North Cumbria Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Critical Care Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a registered nurse with current registration, critical care certificate or equivalent, and further relevant postgraduate development to make a real difference in the lives of patients.

The ideal candidate will have clinical experience as a Band 6 / senior Staff Nurse level or above in an acute / critical care environment, with a strong focus on changing clinical practice, teaching, training, and staff development. They will also possess excellent patient physiological assessment and interpretation skills, as well as continuing professional development with a portfolio.

This role offers a competitive salary of £44,776 - £53,668 per annum, depending on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package, including a 27-day holiday scheme rising to 33 after 10 years, flexible working schemes, excellent opportunities for development, and access to NHS discounts with retailers and leisure companies.

The successful candidate will be able to work flexibly to meet service needs, represent the Trust for critical care outreach services within the critical care network, and expand their clinical skills.
