About the Role

We are seeking a Learning and Behaviour Assistant to join our team at Five Education Recruitment Limited's specialist school in Barking. As a Learning and Behaviour Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting students with Autism, complex needs, and SEMH requirements.

Main Responsibilities

  • Support students during lessons and implement behaviour management strategies
  • Lead small group interventions to enhance students' academic and personal development
  • Provide one-to-one support to students as directed by the class teacher
  • Maintain a calm, positive, and structured classroom environment

Essential Criteria

  • Strong spoken and written English skills
  • Excellent behaviour management skills
  • High levels of resilience and patience

Benefits

This is a full-time, temporary position offering the opportunity to gain valuable experience working with students who require additional support. The estimated salary for this position is £37,000 per annum, based on a 38-week contract and a daily rate of £95.00.
