Job Title: SEN Behaviour Support Assistant

This is a full-time position at Wayman Learning Trust, an innovative primary school in Chiswick. The successful candidate will work with students exhibiting challenging behaviour, promoting positive behaviour and enhancing academic engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement tailored behaviour management strategies to create a structured environment where students can thrive academically and socially.
  • Collaborate with teachers and SEN specialists to develop personalized behaviour plans ensuring a comprehensive approach to behavioural challenges.
  • Monitor and assess student behaviour providing feedback to teachers and parents about progress and areas for improvement.
  • Provide one-on-one support during lessons and activities to help students navigate social situations and reinforce positive behaviours.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience with children exhibiting challenging behaviours is preferred along with familiarity with various behaviour management techniques.
  • Strong communication skills and a positive resilient approach are essential for building rapport with students, staff, and families.
  • A commitment to promoting an inclusive educational environment that celebrates diversity.
