The Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled individual to join our children's residential service as an Assistant Residential Team Leader. As a key member of our team, you will work collaboratively with the Registered Manager and stakeholders to deliver ambitious outcomes for children, striving for continuous improvement in their social, educational, and health development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Line management of a team of staff, ensuring they provide the highest standard of care to children.
  • Deputising in the absence of the Registered Manager, confidentially supporting and assisting with day-to-day management.
  • Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures.
  • Building and maintaining trust and rapport with children and staff, being a positive role model in interactions.

Requirements

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to lead and influence others.
  • Effective people management skills, providing support and direction to individuals and teams.
  • Ability to challenge existing practices and identify innovative solutions within statutory requirements.
  • Ability to effectively manage time and priorities, interpreting and acting on complex information.
  • Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare or equivalent.
