The Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Team Leader to join our Residential Children's Service. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading key areas such as health and safety, training, and supervision of staff. You will also oversee medication, create rotas, and ensure the well-being of children in our care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of staff to provide high-quality care and support to children and young people.
  • Develop and implement care plans to meet the individual needs of children, ensuring their safety, emotional, physical, educational, and social needs are met.
  • Collaborate with key professionals, families, and children to ensure effective communication and coordination of care.
  • Manage and prioritize tasks, ensuring the smooth operation of the residential home and the well-being of children.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures to ensure compliance with statutory requirements.

Requirements

  • Significant experience in a residential care setting, with a proven track record of leading and managing teams.
  • Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or equivalent qualification.
  • Developing knowledge of childcare-related specialisms and statutory responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing time efficiently.
