About the Role

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Ecology Consultant to join our team at Lanpro, a leading multidisciplinary consultancy specializing in Planning, Design, and the Environment. As an Ecology Consultant, you will work closely with our senior ecologists and design teams to deliver ecology and biodiversity surveys and assessments.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist our senior ecologists, design teams, and project managers in all ecology and biodiversity deliverables;
  • Conduct habitat and species surveys, lead simpler surveys, and communicate clearly and in a timely manner;
  • Carry out desk studies, consultations, research, data management, and analysis;
  • Help scope proposals and work up fees, conduct health and safety risk assessments, and assist with the day-to-day efficient running of the team;
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of the team.
Requirements
  • At least one year of relevant UK experience;
  • Driving license preferred;
  • CIEEM membership preferred;
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work independently and as part of a team, and strong report writing and data analysis skills;
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation and policy, and a passion for the discipline of ecology and biodiversity.
