Become a key member of our Group Risk and Funding team as an Actuarial Specialist.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Actuarial Specialist to join our team and contribute to the accuracy and compliance of our work produced in accordance with actuarial standards.
As a trusted member of the Group Risk and Funding team, you will:
- Support the Actuarial Manager in managing and overseeing the technical and professional aspects of the work undertaken by the Funding Strategy Team.
- Develop systems used by the team to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Develop and communicate technical issues to stakeholders.
- Develop and maintain professional responsibilities and compliance.
- Provide technical support for the actuarial input to the Scheme's valuation.
- Oversee the technical development of the regular reporting of the Financial Management Plan monitoring.
- Provide technical support on the actuarial input to support the administration of the Scheme.
- Support the Actuarial Manager in providing technical actuarial support to USSIM.
- Support the Actuarial Manager in managing the relationship with Moody in relation to the valuation software (PFaroe).
- Contribute to managing the working relationship between the Funding Strategy Team and the Scheme Actuary's Team.
- Support the Actuarial Manager in developing actuarial materials for the executive and the Board.
About You
We are looking for a qualified Fellow of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries with experience in managing both technical and professional aspects of actuarial work. You should have good communication skills to facilitate understanding of the issues.
