About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Actuarial Specialist to join our Group Risk and Funding team in Liverpool. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for providing technical actuarial support to the Actuarial Manager and contributing to the development of stochastic models to consider asset liability risk and benefit structures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support the Actuarial Manager in managing and overseeing the technical and professional aspects of the work undertaken by the Funding Strategy Team.
  • Develop and maintain systems used by the team.
  • Communicate technical issues effectively to stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with professional responsibilities and actuarial standards.
  • Provide technical support for the actuarial input to the Scheme's valuation.
  • Oversee the technical development of the regular reporting of the Financial Management Plan monitoring.
  • Support the Actuarial Manager in providing technical actuarial support to USSIM.
  • Manage the relationship with Moody in relation to the valuation software (PFaroe).
  • Contribute to managing the working relationship between the Funding Strategy Team and the Scheme Actuary's Team.
  • Support the Actuarial Manager in developing actuarial materials for the executive and the Board.
About You

We are looking for a qualified Fellow of the Faculty and Institute of Actuaries with experience of managing both technical and professional aspects of actuarial work. You should have good communication skills to facilitate understanding of complex issues.
