Job Title: Finance Administrative Assistant

Job Type: Temporary, Full-Time

Salary: £13.50 Per Hour

Hours: 09:00 – 17:00, 30 Minutes for lunch

About the Role:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Finance Administrative Assistant to join our client in a temporary, full-time capacity. As a key member of the finance team, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating financial records, processing invoices, and managing collections efficiently.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update financial records: Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions, including invoices, receipts, and payments.
  • Process invoices and manage collections: Effectively track payments and manage collections to minimize outstanding balances.
  • Assist in budget preparation and financial reporting: Provide support in preparing and monitoring budgets, financial reports, and statements.
  • Provide administrative support: Offer day-to-day administrative support to the finance team, including scheduling meetings, managing communications, and preparing documents.
  • Enter financial data into accounting software: Accurately enter financial data into accounting software and spreadsheets.
  • Ensure compliance: Ensure that financial records comply with company policies and relevant regulations.
  • Handle customer and vendor inquiries: Respond to customer and vendor inquiries, resolving any discrepancies in billing or payments.

Requirements:

  • AAT Level 2: Essential qualification for this role.
  • Enhanced DBS: A valid Enhanced DBS is required for this position.
  • Finance or administrative experience: Previous experience in a finance or administrative role is necessary.
  • Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and accounting software, Xero, Sage 50, and Sage Payroll.
  • Soft skills: Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills, with high attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
