Job Title: Financial Administrator
DescriptionWe are seeking a skilled and experienced financial administrator to join our team at Charity People, supporting the smooth operation of our organisation's financial processes during a 6-month fixed term contract.
The successful candidate will be responsible for handling purchase invoice processing, reconciling supplier statements, and collaborating with colleagues on purchase order management. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities- Process purchase invoices, ensuring correct approvals and timely payment, adhering to regulatory requirements and organisational policies.
- Reconcile and bank cash takings and cheques, maintaining accurate records and resolving any discrepancies.
- Prepare and reconcile sales journals for retail and restaurant income, accurately capturing revenue and identifying areas for improvement.
- Perform monthly bank reconciliations, resolving any discrepancies and providing regular updates to stakeholders.
- AAT qualification or equivalent experience, demonstrating a solid foundation in accounting principles and practices.
- Strong experience in accounts payable and receivable, journal preparation, and reconciliations, with a focus on accuracy and attention to detail.
- Competency in Microsoft 365 applications, particularly Excel, with advanced skills in data analysis and reporting.
Part-time (26.25 hours per week), spread over 4 or 5 days per week, offering flexibility and work-life balance.
Hybrid working, with 2 days per week in the office near Lichfield, DE13, promoting collaboration and teamwork.
SalaryGBP24,698 - GBP26,700 FTE, reflecting the importance of this role in supporting the organisation's financial operations.
