About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Teaching Assistant to join our team at a well-established secondary school in the North East region. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the delivery of high-quality education to our students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide in-class support to teachers, working with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning and ensure engagement.
  • Manage student behavior and promote a positive learning environment.
  • Contribute to progress monitoring and support the development of students' skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Experience working as a Higher Level Teaching Assistant.
  • Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant qualification.
  • Must be 21 or over.
  • Must have UK school-based experience.
  • Knowledge of child development and learning needs.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must hold a DBS on update service or be willing to apply for one.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to stay calm under pressure.
  • Flexibility and willingness to adapt lessons as needed.
  • Good organization and multitasking abilities.
