About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Midwife to lead our birth centre and advocate for midwifery led care within University Hospitals Coventry and Warwickshire NHS Trust.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational management and leadership for the staff and services provided on the Birth Centre.
  • Maintain clinical expertise, undertaking Band 7 duties in line with the needs of the service.
  • Highly developed communication skills to ensure high-quality service and timely management of unexpected events.
  • Undertake bleep-holder and on-call responsibilities for the maternity unit on a regular basis.
  • Support staff and users in service and policy development within a defined area/specialty.

As a highly knowledgeable leader and resource for staff, you will advise on national, local and Trust policy and procedures/guidelines, ensuring that clinical governance is embedded in practice.
