We are seeking a dedicated Payroll & Finance Administrator to join our team at the Belper site. Reporting to the Operations Finance Manager, this role will provide essential payroll and finance support to the site.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor the Time & Attendance System for site overtime, lateness, and missed clock-ins.
  • Collaborate with Line Managers to rectify any anomalies on a weekly basis.
  • Compile weekly and monthly reports on overtime, lateness, holiday pay, and absence.
  • Input variable pay data via interface to the Shared Service Centre/Payroll in accordance with deadlines.
  • Efficiently address any pay-related queries.
  • Utilize SAP and other systems to generate credit notes and supplementary sales invoices as required.
  • Support the Operations Finance team during month-end processes to ensure accurate and complete transactional processing by the SSC.
  • Take ownership of the site workflow, ensuring that workflow items are kept at a minimum level. Verify that only valid costs for the business are processed, and coding is appropriate and consistent.
  • Support the entire business in maintaining open purchase orders as valid and current. Close POs when no longer required and match against workflow items where applicable.
  • Provide support for ad-hoc site queries and analysis on key business performance metrics.
Experience & Attributes
  • Proven payroll experience in a similar position.
  • Strong finance background, preferably with previous experience of SAP Business system. Demonstrated reporting skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines is essential.
  • Proficient user of MS Office, particularly Excel.
  • Flexible and proactive attitude.
  • Capable of challenging processes and holding others accountable.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to interact effectively at all levels.
  • Meticulous attention to detail. Advantageous: Business and/or financial administration related qualification (e.g., AAT).
