Bookkeeper

Working with a small and local accountancy firm, Talk Staff is supporting them in finding a Bookkeeper to support a varied portfolio of clients and is based from their offices on the outskirts of Belper in Derbyshire.
**Minimum Bookkeeper Requirements**:
- Recent experience in a similar finance role, either in industry or accountancy
- Good range of knowledge of cloud accounting including Sage, Xero and Quickbooks
- Enjoy working with electronic and manual books
- Be able to prioritise workloads and have an analytical approach
- Show the ability to work on your own initiative and as part of a teams
Ideally, you will be AAT or ICB Qualified and have payroll experience but this is not essential.
The main focus of this Bookkeeper role will be to support a varied range of clients with their bookkeeping, keeping on top of records and filing VAT returns when due.
Other Bookkeeper duties will also include:
- Collating information and ensuring processing of payrolls including weekly, monthly and annual are completed.
- Logging into different accounts systems to ensure records are up to date, including general bank reconciliations and VAT returns are completed.
- Support clients in producing Self Assessments where required.
- Ensure financial procedures and processes are followed strictly to safeguard the company results and financial assets
**Salary & Working Hours**
£20,000 - £30,000 per annum DOE
Monday - Friday, 9am - 5pm, 37.5 hours per week
On-site parking available
23 days holiday plus Bank holidays
