Head of Primary Care Finance Business Partnering

About the Role

The Buckinghamshire, Oxfordshire and Berkshire West Integrated Care Board (ICB) is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to fill the position of Head of Primary Care Finance Business Partnering. This role will play a critical part in providing financial management services to the ICB, ensuring that financial information is produced and reported in accordance with the ICB's requirements for both planning and performance management purposes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide financial management services to the ICB, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to support the ICB's goals and objectives.
  • Collaborate with senior finance team members to identify and manage financial risks and opportunities.
  • Lead the ICB's Delegated Primary Care & POD team, providing professional leadership and management to all aspects of Primary Medical Care and the delegated POD allocations.
  • Manage and coordinate the team's resources to produce accurate, complete, and timely periodic internal and external financial reports and monitoring returns.

Requirements

  • CCAB qualified accountant with considerable post-qualification experience at a senior level.
  • Significant post-qualification experience in a financial management role at a senior management level.
  • Extensive knowledge of the NHS financial regime, acquired through equivalent experience or training.
  • Experience of national tariffs, assessing value for money opportunities, and evaluating transformation projects.
  • Subject matter expertise across several key areas relating to corporate performance reporting and monitoring.
