About the Role:

The successful candidate will work closely with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to ensure that students receive the best possible educational experience. You will be responsible for supporting students with challenging behavior and SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups, as well as managing challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Supporting students with challenging behavior and SEND on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
  • Managing challenging behavior in a positive and consistent manner
  • Building positive relationships with students and staff
  • Having a hands-on approach to supporting children in their learning, with a willingness to interact with pupils and engage with them
  • Working with Class Teachers and other Teaching Assistants to ensure pupils receive the best possible educational experience
Requirements:
  • An Enhanced DBS (ideally on the Update Service but this is not essential as we can process a new one for you)
  • An ability to build positive relationships and a rapport with pupils and staff
  • A resilient, proactive, and positive nature
  • Experience in classrooms supporting students
  • High levels of enthusiasm, energy, and positivity when working with pupils
  • A genuine passion for helping young people to fulfill their potential and flourish in education
  • An enthusiastic approach and a willingness to engage with and form positive relationships with pupils
